shooting first video tomorrow, videos updated

Monday, June 11th, 2012

Hello!

Tom tweeted this afternoon that No Doubt will be shooting the video for their first single tomorrow!  “actually we begin shooting tomorrow, although preparations are in high gear today.”

I’ve uploaded some more videos.  I added the Irvine 8/4/2009 show.  It was shot from pretty far away, and the picture seems to be “squished” a little horizontally, but I’m still very grateful to have it.  Concert footage comes in all kinds.  :)

I also added Bathwater live on Farmclub, Leno, and MadTV, as well as Ex-Girlfriend on Hermano Sic to this folder.  Finally, I added the Sol Musica special that aired in Portugal, parts one and two.

New post on the official!

Thursday, May 31st, 2012

Apparently No Doubt played a private 6 song, mini-show at a backyard party in LA last night!  It would have been so awesome to be there!  Nikki posted a couple video clips to her mobli account; thank you!

The photo below was posted to twitter by @wear_this.  Other photos have popped up on twitter, instagram, etc.  I don’t know my way around twitter enough to be able to find specific photos there, and I don’t use instagram, so go see my pals at EIT for some more photos from lucky party-goers!  :)

Hello!  From this LA Times article, Tony is quoted as saying “We’re so stoked to finally start performing these new songs live,” bassist Tony Kanal added. “And to be doing the first performance of our first single here in Los Angeles makes it even more awesome.”   The article states that the 7/22 Teen Choice Awards performance will be the “debut” of the first single!!

“I can’t believe this is actually happening. The idea of playing our new music live is heaven on earth,” lead singer Gwen Stefani said in a statement. “Can’t wait to share it!!”

There’s an update regarding No Doubt’s lawsuit against Activision, the makers of Band Hero.  From this article: “”Now that the judge removed the last procedural hurdle Activision erected, No Doubt looks forward to a Los Angeles jury hearing how Activision treated the band,” No Doubt’s attorney, Bert Deixler, told E! They are also mentioned in the new June 1/8 issue of Entertainment Weekly.   There is a little “the best in morning-TV-show concerts” section, and the list includes the upcoming July 27th performance on Good Morning America.  They say it’s one of the “can’t-miss concerts”!  I say it’s THE can’t-miss concert!

Australia 2000 videos, Busy Signal article

Monday, May 14th, 2012

Hello!

I’ve uploaded some videos that aired on Channel V in Australia in 2000 to the videos section.  These include interviews, some live in studio performances, and and some footage from the Livid Festival!

Also, in an article on The Jamaica Star’s web site, they talk about Busy Signal’s collaboration with No Doubt on Push and Shove.  They call the song the “lead single” on the upcoming album.  Will it be the first single?  The band hasn’t confirmed at this point.  I hope so, because after the teaser in their first webisode, I really want to hear the whole thing!  I can’t get the clips that we heard of it out of my head!  aaah!

Saturday, May 12th, 2012

Hello!  Tom tweeted a few minutes ago that they are done mixing 3 songs (Push & Shove, Dreaming The Same Dream, and Easy)!  He thinks Settle Down will be next.

Also, I added some photos of Gwen and Gavin attending The Heart Foundation Gala on the 10th to the gallery.

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012

Hello! I’ve uploaded the original .mp4 1080p video from YouTube if anyone wants to download it.

First webisode is online!

Tuesday, May 8th, 2012

Hello!  No Doubt’s first webisode is online now!  From the official:

“Over the past few months, Gwen, Tony, Tom and Adrian have been recording together and filming the process at producer Spike Stent’s studio in Santa Monica, California. With 12 songs in the works and new artwork themes and video ideas being thrown around, it was tough to decide what to feature in the first webisode.

The band has decided to kick things off with the recording of the track “Push & Shove” which is a collaboration between No Doubt, producers Major Lazer and Jamaican artist Busy Signal.  Of all the songs on the album, this is the only collaboration of it’s kind.  Enjoy!

There will be plenty more webisodes to follow as we approach September 25 so keep checking back for updates. The band is planning video shoots, photo shoots, tv performances and much more that they want to share with you. Be sure to follow @nodoubt on Twitter as well as @gwenstefani, @AdrianYoungND, @TomDumontND and @tonykanal. Like No Doubt on Facebook to get the big announcements as they happen.”
